As we come to the end of January we realize one month is already finished in the year 2012 and there is still so much to do. How have we done with our New Year's resolutions? How have we done with the tasks set aside by God to further His Kingdom? These are important things that we should think about as we look to take care of this Church for the future. We are doing new things for the worship of our Lord and to make sure our Church is around for the next generation of this community. This ensures that the gospel will be proclaimed in the way that Christ imparted it to us. As we look to February we have a lot of opportunities for worship, ministry, and especially fellowship. The first Sunday we will be enjoying worship and Bible study and that night we will fellowship at the Edward's home while watching the Super Bowl. The last Sunday we will be having the WMU annual Soup & Sandwich Luncheon for missions. All these things work together for the health and stability of the Church and the more we worship, serve, and fellowship together the more we can experience what the Disciples did as they walked, lived, and learned from Christ every day. Wouldn't that be wonderful! To learn and live with the Master! I just cannot imagine how wonderful that would be. Well it is wonderful because Christ is here with us and we do all these things together right now. All we have to do is learn and live as Christ has taught us and our Church and this world will be a better place.

Luke 9:23-24
23 Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily,[a] and follow Me. 24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.
