Pastor's Pen ... As we look to September we have several things on our minds. First, there is some relief from the heat. After
one of the longest and hottest summers on record it now comes time to look forward to the changing of seasons from summer
to fall. We can feel some of the heat and humidity let up, and there seems to be a little less stress in our lives. Some would
say "enjoy it while it lasts", but we hope to realize that God always gives relief when we need it both physically
and spiritually. God always desires to send us blessing and support, but we must
have faith and look to him for those blessings, and not live by our own strength. We still have to live our lives but we must
realize that all good and righteous things come from God! We must look to Him for all we need while we do what is necessary
to pay our bills and keep food on the table. Trust in God for the things
we need, and see the blessing in the relief He sends both routinely and miraculously. Second, we are in the midst of the height of hurricane
season. As I write this there are 3 storms in the Atlantic. As we keep
our eyes on the weather reports and make preparations, we should also keep our eyes on the reports of God. Watch
what will come and how we should prepare. Christianity is continually under attack! We must stand up for our rights and the
holiness of our God. Let us keep His name and His Word holy. Learn from the things He has to teach, warn us of, and make this
Church and community a better place.

Timothy 3:16-17 16
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for
doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that
the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.(NKJV)
